Application Directions

• Before You Begin instructions
  • Surface should free of all dirt, mildew stains and loose wood fibers
  • Surfaces must be sound and completely dry (moisture content below 15%)
  • Do not apply in direct sunlight, to hot surfaces, or when air or surface temperature is below 50 °F (10 °C)
  • Do not apply over wet surfaces or when rain is imminent
  • Do not thin
  • Protect stored containers from freezing
• APPLICATION INSTRUCTION
  • Shake and stir thoroughly
  • Apply product to small sections at a time
  • To avoid lap marks, start at one edge and follow through to the end of the boards
  • Apply evenly with a brush or spray. Best results can be obtained by using a high-quality, synthetic bristle brush.
  • If you must spray, always back brush immediately after each section is coated to ensure proper coverage
  • One coat is usually sufficient for most surfaces. A second coat may be necessary in areas subject to high levels of water-soluble tannic acid.
• CAUTIONS
  Use only with adequate ventilation. To avoid overexposure, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headaches, or dizziness, increase fresh air, or wear respiratory protection (NIOSH approved) or leave the area. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wash hands after using. Keep container closed when not in use. Do not transfer contents to other containers for storage. FIRST AID: In case of eye contact, flush thoroughly with large amounts of water. Get medical attention if irritation persists. If swallowed, call Poison Control Center, hospital emergency room, or physician immediately.
